Can we help?
InternetNZ is keen to support projects or initiatives that further our goals to protect and promote the Internet for New Zealanders. "Support" is both financial and non-financial.
This is a way for us to maximise the value to the wider community with our limited resources. By helping people and organisations aligned with our goals, our efforts are multiplied many times over what we can do on our own.
This financial year (April 2010 to March 2011) we had a budget of $400,000 for "grants", i.e. financial support for our partners and funding requests. Within four months of the financial year the budget was running low. We have therefore increased the grants budget by $50,000 and reduced our own planned operational spend. We hope to similarly provide another $50,000 top-up in November.
InternetNZ invites interested people and organisations in New Zealand to look at our grants criteria and what we've funded in the past. After looking at these, if your project or initiative looks eligible, fill in the appropriate application form.
The current budget balance is $80,952. So if you've got a project or initiative that we might be able to support, please apply now.
Together, we can make a difference.
